That’s right. I am going back to the ‘learner’s seat’. I joined a course on Social Network Analysis at Coursera.
I am familiar with Social Network Theory and even used it in the past, but I don’t really know how to model social networks. So, this will be a very important addition to my researcher toolbox.
Moreover, I am really excited with the opportunity of expanding my knowledge base in a structured, planned fashion – rather than the ad-hoc way in which most of my ‘on the job’ learning takes place.
The course starts this Monday, September 24th 2012 and runs for 8 weeks. It includes various readings and assignments, which will be very difficult to complete because this is also the start of the semester (the part where I get to take the ‘teacher’s seat’, that is). But, hey, I like a challenge.
Do you want to join me?
That looks really good – I get scared when I see “eigenvectors” but I smile when I see Gelphi
Enjoy!
