This week, a collection of miscellaneous notes related to Artificial Intelligence.
1. AI survey
The Artificial Intelligence Research Centre, at Brunel Business School, is looking at the impact of AI on the nature of work and the relationship between workers and their employers (my branch of work concerns on the consequences of these changes on customer service).
As part of this effort, we are conducting a survey. It can be completed via a smartphone app – at the moment, this is available for iOS, only. We hope to have an Android version available, very soon.
The survey is a bit long, but we would really appreciate if you could complete it, and if you could share it with your contacts.
To access the survey, click on the link below. It will open an app on your iPhone, and then take you through a series of questions: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/gigai/id1474530957
Alternatively, you can just go on the App shop, and search for GigAI.
Thank you.
2. AI summit
This week, I am attending the Intelligent Health Summit, in Basel (Switzerland).
I am very interested in the role of technology in fitness and health. For instance, in the past, I have looked at the adoption and sustained use of fitness wearables. And, currently, I am looking at the use of chatbots in health care scenarios.
Get in touch, if you are heading to Basel, too; or just if you are interested in this topic and want to talk about research collaborations.
3. AI Workshop
And to round up this trilogy of AI related notes, I would like to give a shout out to an event that will take place at Brunel Business School, on October 31st.
It’s a one day workshop to explore the strategic challenges and opportunities presented by AI, and it will cover a brand range of issues from skills to decision making and ethics. It is free, but requires registration.

For me, this week is all about AI. What about yours?
