April 2026 round-up

The most exciting thing this month was, of course, the Artemis II’s mission to the Moon. Inspired by it, I also re-watched Apollo 13, read Atmosphere, and listened to Space Oddity on repeat.

On the work front, this month was all about teaching on the MBA programme, and writing. On the personal front, there was an Easter Egg Hunt, asparagus, and al fresco lunches.

Research

Interesting discussions with several people (academics and practitioners) about possible future projects related to AI use, business model innovation, and others. These will have to wait until the next month, though.

Writing

I worked on, and submitted, a grant application related to the impact of AI on healthcare and a paper about public health apps.

Teaching

This month I taught on the MBA programme, supervised student projects, and interviewed another PhD candidate.

Service

In my SeNSS role, the key point was the annual review meeting with the funder, ESRC. Plus, planning the annual conference.

In the ethics role, there were meetings to review current processes, and more discussions about the Business School’s strategic plan for research.

What did April have in store for you?
